Local Government
Dietze and Davis lawyers within the Local Government practice serve as general counsel and special counsel to Colorado local governments, with a particular focus on municipal, special district law, and water law.
We serve as general counsel to several water and sanitation districts and metropolitan district with citizen boards, including: Cottonwood Water and Sanitation District, Dillon Valley District, Genesee Water and Sanitation District, Berkeley Water and Sanitation District, Colorado City Metropolitan District, Olde Stage Water District, Brownsville Water and Sanitation District, and Knollwood Metropolitan District.
In addition, we serve as special counsel to three municipalities on formation of special districts and other municipal law matters. We also serve as water counsel for Park County, Colorado and have been special energy counsel to the City of Golden.
Finally, we represent homeowners and developers in their relationships with local governments, including land use law, annexation and inclusions, and agreements for services.
