On August 25, 2021, Dietze and Davis shareholder Mark Detsky gave a virtual CLE presentation, along with former Colorado State legislator Mike Foote of the Foote Law Firm, to the Colorado Bar Association’s Natural Resources and Energy Law Section entitled "Climate & Energy 2021: State Legislative and Agency Updates."
The lunchtime presentation, which took place via Zoom, provided CBA NREL members with an overview of recent 2021 legislation and regulatory action focused on climate and energy law and policy issues as well as an in-depth picture into how Colorado's state agencies, including the Air Quality Control Commission and the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission are addressing greenhouse gas reductions. The presentation also focused on how climate change and climate justice are being tackled as part of Colorado's public utility law landscape.
Mark Detsky regularly practices before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in cases electric resource planning, CPCN proceedings, transmission, ratemaking proceedings, energy efficiency dockets, hydropower development, and rulemakings.
