Dietze and Davis, P.C. shareholder and attorney Mark Detsky represented our client, the Colorado Independent Energy Association (CIEA) in months of negotiations over the potential Colorado Energy Plan (CEP). If successful, the CEP could retire 660 MW of coal-fired generation in Colorado and replace that generation with nearly 2 gigawatts of new wind and solar facilities, and new gas facilities. CIEA represents the interests of the independent power producer industry in Colorado, the members of which will be submitting bids to allow Xcel to present a compelling CEP to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.
